RiseUP For Arts is partnering with 39 towns in Connecticut to create a large-scale mural for each year of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s life by January 2022. Each mural will represent the messages, images, and symbols of Martin Luther King Jr. and others who have made a difference in the pursuit for racial equity.

Southington Community Cultural Arts is seeking the community’s input and participation to create one of these murals in Southington. They would like a broad representation of ideas for donated space for the mural, artists’ involvement, and most importantly the content. Who do you think has made a difference toward a more equitable and just world? What would you like portrayed in our town’s mural?
