On Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 8:46am, a brief patriotic service will be held at the 9/11 Memorial in Plantsville on the corner of Summer and West Main streets. The service will reflect on the events that took place on this date in 2001. Members of the Southington Fire and Police Departments, town officials, civic organizations and community residents are invited to attend the service to remember and honor those who lost their lives at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania. The public is encouraged to arrive for the service at 8:30am to ensure parking is available
